Extended overflow fitting instructions
Please follow the instructions below for correct installation and maintenance.
Check compatibilty
Ensure your sink is designed to accommodate the Bidbury & Co Extended Overflow Cover before installation. The hole in the sink should be smaller than the overall/external size of the plate.
Prepare the Area
Clean the overflow hole to remove any debris or residue that may prevent a secure fit.

Align the rear cover with the overflow hole in the overflow plate. Ensure the rectangular internal rubber seal is in place.

Use the centre screw to secure the front plate to the rear cover. Once in the correct position and aligned perfectly. Ensure it is tightly fitted.

Apply a bead of silicone around all four sides of the rear overflow cover (externally) or reposition as needed to achieve a snug fit and a waterproof seal.
Adjust if Necessary
If the cover feels loose, check for any obstructions or reposition as needed to achieve a snug fit.
Care and Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe the overflow cover with a soft, damp cloth to remove water spots and soap residue. Avoid harsh abrasives that may damage the finish, including spray cleaners and bleach
- Deep Cleaning: For stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution only and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
- Preserving the Finish: If your cover features an unlacquered brass finish, it will develop a natural patina over time. This aging process is expected and enhances the character of the piece. For those who prefer a polished look, an occasional application of a suitable brass cleaner can help restore the shine.
