Using and Maintaining Your Charlbury Hand Rinse

The Charlbury is a pressurised hand rinse, and the following guidelines must be followed to ensure proper use and longevity:

  1. Water Pressure Regulation
A pressure-reducing valve must be installed to control the water pressure entering the rinse. Without this, excessive pressure can cause irreversible damage to the internal components, requiring a replacement unit.
  2. Minimising Dripping
After use, a small amount of water remains inside the rinse body (between the internal seal and the outlet). If the handset is immediately returned to its holder in a vertical position, this trapped water may drip slowly from the spout. To minimise this, always give the rinse a gentle shake over the sink after use—this helps release most of the remaining water and reduces dripping.
  3. Routine Cleaning
Periodically, we recommend unscrewing the end of the rinse, removing the internal brass ring, and flushing it through with water to clear any debris. Clean away any limescale buildup to maintain optimal performance. For more detailed information see our comprehensive maintenance guide.

The Charlbury hand rinse is crafted from high-quality solid brass. For the best performance and longevity, ensure it is installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions and follow the care guidelines above.
